According to the American History, the new deal was put in place during the reign of President Franklin D. Roosevelt. According to the study by Mitchell (2017), the new deal was a series of projects and programs to help the nation when it was faced with the great depression. Hence, the president aimed at restoring prosperity to the entire nation by intruducing the new deal. Furthermore, the government introduced some projects that could help citizens during the time of the Great Depression. For instance, the Works Progress Administration (WPA) was implemented with the main aim of providing jobs to unemployed individuals in the nation. In addition to that, the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) was instituted to was a work relief program that provided the young generation employment during the time of the Great Depression.
