We have had the second greatest financial system collapse in world history. Trillions of dollars have been spent trying to get the USA and world economies going again. Almost all of that money spent in the USA and UK have been focused on bailing out from the top. That is send the money to the biggest banks and hope that their recovery will trickle down to improve lending to small business and individuals. Has this strategy worked? Why or why not? What might have been other bail out strategies focused more on main street than wall street?
