A local Italian restaurant chain is interviewing and hiring in-house for a regional district restaurant manager. Ryan, a 49-year-old male, applied for this promotion. Along with him, three other employees applied for the promotion: Pam, Rick, and Chris. Pam, a 40-year-old female, was promoted and not Ryan. Of course, Ryan believes that he was equally qualified for the promotion, should have received the promotion, and therefore felt he was discriminated against.
