Write the first draft of your research paper. The first draft should be 3,000-3,750 words (approximately 12-15 pages if the template is used correctly), not including the required Bibliography and cover page. Be sure to include the following:
Affirm your thesis on the approved Revolution/War topic you have selected.
Key people and events that impacted the war/revolution (comp. 3.1)
Explain the pertinent political, economic, or military that impacted the war/revolution (comp. 3.2)
Explain the cultural development including social, intellectual, or religious themes that affected the war/revolution (comp. 3.3)
Discuss the precipitating causes of the war/revolution as well as its consequences (comp. 3.4)
Discuss the role of Christianity, or Christians, in the war/revolution including the fact that Christians could and did form the core of a counter-revolution in the appropriate circumstances (comp. 3.5).
Utilize research to validate your ideas and supporting claims.
The grading standards will be as rigorous as those set for the final research paper. Be careful to proofread and edit the first draft to the quality of a final draft.
