Description

Make use of at least two digital tools and two dimensions (2d, 3d, 4d) to create a final work. You will be projecting content developed and edited by you onto a three dimensional surface.

Demonstrate familiarity with widely-used creative software.

Demonstrate fluidly between digital / screen-based and non-digital / off-screen processes.

Become familiar with artists that integrate multiple tools in their work.

Independently learn at least one new technology and integrate that tool into a final course project.

Professional presentation of creative work online.

Materials

At least 2 digital tools. One of these must be your independent learning tool (VPT).

Make considered use of all dimensions (2d, 3d, 4d) during the development of this work.

No other restrictions on material use.

Format

No restrictions on format.

Process

Choose a theme above and brainstorm possible solutions that address the prompt. Solutions need not be overly illustrative and can range between recognizable to abstract and non-objective. Use the theme as a departure point. Brainstorming can be done in list, visual thumbnails, or webbing format.

Circle the ideas with strongest potential and share the ideas with a small group for feedback. Take some time after sharing to develop the strongest ideas further.

Execute your final project using your independent learning tool (VPT) and another digital tool explored through out the course such as imovie (or other video editing software), photoshop etc. You must use at least 2 digital tools and 2 dimensions (2d, 3d, 4d).

Project your digital content onto a constructed form built with foamcore or other dimensional materials.

Document the final work in your digital portfolio. Documentation may require taking a short video of the projection as well as including video clip and image of 3d object.
