Renovation Project – Finishes – Structural or Fixed Surface – Construction Engineering Assignment Help

Task :

Overview Continuing on from the renovation project which began at Assignment 4, you now need to create the following interior finish schedules. ‘Finishes’ is the general term given to all materials which are fixed, but non-structural. These include any finish that you need to apply to a structural or fixed surface, in other words, the finish you would apply to complete a kitchen, laundry, bathroom; to the walls, ceilings, trims, floors and lights. A finish is not just about the colour, but also the type of material; the supplier information and product information. For example, in choosing paint it’s not just the colour, but whether the finish is matte, satin, high gloss etc. You are required to prepare the following 3 tabulated finish schedules:

1. A tabulated kitchen/laundry and bathroom schedule that includes ALL finishes for these areas including countertops, splashback, cabinets… (do not include appliances, doors, windows). This schedule is to include the wall, trims, ceiling, floor and lighting finishes.

2. A tabulated flooring schedule – for all flooring finishes throughout the ground floor/renovation area of the floorplan including kitchen/bathroom/laundry.

3. A tabulated lighting schedule – for all lighting finishes throughout the ground floor/renovation area of the floorplan including kitchen/bathroom/laundry. In each schedule, please list the room, and then the finish.

You can use the below Excel spreadsheet as a template or you can re-create your own. Finish Schedule Template You will need to source your own samples (this information is all available online through various suppliers); and please include images so your tutor can see that the finishes are harmonious.

To confirm, you are required to upload 3 files: ·

for the kitchen/laundry/bathroom.

for the flooring for ALL rooms in the ground floor renovation area.

for the lighting for ALL rooms in the ground floor renovation area.

So 3 separate schedules in total. If you are having trouble uploading your file at the end, try saving/exporting it as a PDF file.
