Status Check: At this point you should all have the following: Topic (author and works) selected, initial inquiry/Bio completed, First draft thesis statement.This module focuses on drafting an informal outline and first draft Introduction for the research essay.Getting Structure/Putting it all togehter. Please complete the following Informal Outline:I. Effective Introduction 

A. Thesis (This section–Intro and Thesis—should be no more than 1/2 to a full page).II. General Information (Author’s Bio–some of you have submitted this for critique/other’s submitted a brief initial inquiry. This section should be no moer than 2 pages/typewritten-double-spaced).III. Body Analysis (In this section you are to list the three shorter works OR three ways you will analyze the one larger work that you mentioned in thesis):A.B.C.Also, when we get to research and drafting you will integrate your analysis supported by relevant textual warrants and critical/scholarly research on the fiction, poetry, or drama of your author.
