Let’s discuss the terms “fact” and “theory”, because I think it is important to have an understanding of these terms specifically as they relate to science. Do you think the confusion is due in part to “definition” interpretation? What do the terms fact and theory mean in science? Are these terms applied differently in science than they are in our everyday lives? Could that be the source of much of the debate?
In your field, do these two terms mean the same thing that they do in science? Why is evolution considered a theory?
