In “Intern Abbey” we have a scene of the pastoral landscape in the opening stanzas. What exactly do we see, and how do you think we are supposed to feel about it? Given that Wordsworth had been away from England for a long time and had seen some of the best and worst moments of the French Revolution, how do you think he felt, returning to these landscape scenes?
