John struggled in school from an early age, and when he was finally tested by the school psychologist during his transition to middle school, he earned a score of 68 on a standardized I.Q. test. Today, John holds a very low-wage job but is able to just make ends meet, supporting himself independently. He is involved in a local church and has a circle of friends.
