You have just been hired by a new history magazine. It is your job to nominate three (3) persons who best reflect characteristics of the “long” twentieth century in American history. Each person must be from a different era, as follows:  one each from 1877-1920, 1921-1945, and 1945 to the present. For your topic, you either pick 3 days or 3 people who made a major impact on our history, spread out over the span of time we’re covering in this class.  You write about why the people or days were so significant.  For example, you could write about 3 wartime presidents, such as Woodrow Wilson (World War I), Franklin Roosevelt (World War II), and George W. Bush (War of Terror) if you want to do people.  You gave me a good research plan, but you didn’t tell me your topic.
