What is a hyperbole in the poem, “The Highwayman”?

The wind was a torrent of darkness among the gusty trees.

A hyperbole is an exaggerated statement to make writing more powerful. The statement is never true. In “The Highwayman”, the wind wasn’t actually a “torrent of darkness”.
